With 31 resident cats, keeping their bedding, blankets, cushions and our cafe soft furnishings clean is a never-ending job. We complete an average of four loads of cat laundry every single day - that's approximately 1500 loads each year!

For hygiene and infection control, our cafe laundry is washed at 60°C using bio-detergent plus Vamoosh pet hair dissolver. Most loads are then hung by hand to air-dry, helping us stay greener, and avoid unnecessary tumble-dryer costs, when possible.

Your donation helps cover the estimated calculated cost of water, electricity, cleaning products and equipment maintenance involved in completing one load of essential daily laundry.

Unlike café entry and the products we sell, this donation is tax-free. We only pay online payment-processing fees of 1.7%, plus 25p per transaction, so we have set the donation amount to reflect this. This allows your donation to 100% fund one load of laundry.
